Join us for the launch of ROCK-HYPHEN-ORCHID-WASP by artist Oliver Laric, presented by Zien. The evening will include an artist talk, digital works launch and preview of his physical installation at Shoreditch Arts Club.
The work is a series of 100 hybridised sculptures that morph between literal and abstract interpretations of familiar concepts. Starting by placing a rock, hyphen, orchid and wasp at four corner points of a grid, Oliver maps the relationship between them to reveal their uncanny similarity. Each work is a digital 3D object that can be redeemed as a 3D printed sculpture, finished in a custom opalescent paint.
