Katie Shannon – Star dancer/ speed creep

Katie Shannon’s practice moves between visual art, performance and event making. She often works collaboratively with projects instigated though happenstance situation and friendship. Fandom, outsider Music cultures, pedestrian Fetish and filmic Feminist allyship across re-read Time codes are continuing research interests.

Recent works include action with tlc23 at TINA Gallery, tlc23 at Fet Miasma Mis at Le Bourgeois, Catford, Rebi at Cafe Oto, soundtracking Liquid Currency at Kunstverein Dortmund and hardcore til i die solo show at Kunsthalle Ost, Leipzig. She co-runs record labels and gig series Domestic Exile, So Low and Rebi. Current ongoing curatorial outputs include tlc23 the trauma group and weaponised collective formed with Keira Fox and a long running events and exhibitions series produced with France-lise McGurn.
