Wednesday 10th July, 6 – 8pm: Artichoke Trust: The Gallery Season 4 Premiere: A Real Woman

The Gallery is a major art project by UK leading outdoor arts producer Artichoke Trust, in collaboration with public artist Martin Firrell. Working with the Out-of-Home industry, The Gallery harnesses the power and reach of the advertising industry to bring art to where people live, travel, work and play, making art accessible to all.

Each edition of The Gallery is a portal to ignite meaningful artistic and national conversations around some of the most important questions and issues of our time. For this latest edition, 11 artworks have been selected and demonstrate a multiplicity of bold responses to the theme A Real Woman, addressing potent and contested ideas, such as gender identity, health disparity, the domestic realm, and feminism. 

Curated by Bakul Patki, an independent curator and cultural consultant, these works will make their premiere at Shoreditch Arts Club before being displayed on billboards and digital screens across the UK.
