Friday 30th May, 6 — 10pm : Threads on Redchurch Launch Party

To mark the launch of SXSW London, a striking new community art installation will be unveiled on Redchurch Street on Friday 30 May. Threads on Redchurch is a collaborative project from onRedchurch, Rich Mix, and Siant Creative, supported by Shoreditch Arts Club, JAG and Huntingdon – a celebration of creativity, connection, and the spirit of Shoreditch. We are delighted to invite local patrons, business owners, and Shoreditch Arts Club members to enjoy a private drinks reception in honour of the installation. Join us as we toast to the vibrant cultural fabric of our neighbourhood.

On Thursday, 29th May, Rich Mix and onRedchurch will host a hands-on workshop by Siant Creative, inviting local residents, visitors, and businesses to tie a ribbon in support of the Rich Mix campaign, Every Child A Cinema Goer. Each ribbon will then form part of a large-scale aerial installation at the Boundary Street junction to Redchurch Street. The final result: a shimmering canopy of colour, movement, and care that catches the light and sways with the breeze.

Supported by SXSW London, the project celebrates connection, creativity, and place. Every thread is a personal mark of belonging – heartfelt, handmade, and interwoven into the fabric of Redchurch Street.

Add your own ribbon for £5 and be part of the artwork. All proceeds go towards Every Child A Cinema Goer, helping to give more children access to cinema.
