Friday 4th September, 5— 9pm: Hidden Threads by Bahareh Safa
Join photographer and visual artist Bahareh Safa for Hidden Threads, a one-day solo exhibition at Shoreditch Arts Club, celebrating her artistic practice through photography, poetry, Persian cultural heritage, and print on silk.
The exhibition traces Bahareh's journey from Pairidaeza, her acclaimed photographic project exploring the hidden stories, symbolism, and poetry woven into Persian carpets, to the publication of her Pairidaeza photobook and the transformation of her original artworks into luxurious silk accessories through her brand, Bahar London.
The exhibition also premieres selections from her latest photographic project, Nothing Is the Same. Created in response to the recent events in Iran, the series explores identity, resilience and transformation.
At 7:00 pm, Bahareh will be in conversation with curator Zoe Goetzmann, Founder of Artist Workspace Gallery and host of the Art World Women podcast. Together they will discuss Bahareh's creative journey, the symbolism behind her work, the relationship between her artistic practice and Persian carpets, and how storytelling continues through photography, poetry, and silk.
