Wednesday 17th January, 7 – 9:30pm: Dopereaders Book Club with Ore Agbaje-Williams
Dopereaders was created as a safe space where a diverse community of book lovers meet and discuss authors, titles, and relevant topics.
With the aim to give the appropriate attention and resonance to Black and BIPOC authors and to share their work, Dopereaders works passionately to bring literacy and a love for words to everyone, concentrating a great part of their attention on young black men, who are statistically left out of the game for no fault of their own.
In this particular event to start our collaboration with Dopereaders, we will meet with British-Nigerian author Ore Agbaje-Williams for an in-depth Q&A in regards to her debut novel, The Three of Us —an enticing story following a day in the lives of a husband, wife and the wife’s ‘best friend’ Temi. The novel navigates the sensitive seas of compromise and betrayal as the lives of the three characters and visions of each other slowly unravel. An unexpected discovery throws everyone's integrity into question…
