Post-War to Present Guided Tour at Christie’s

  • Christie's 8 King Street London, England, SW1Y 6QT United Kingdom (map)

Friday 20th June, 4 — 5pm : Post-War to Present Guided Tour at Christie’s

Christie’s invites members of Shoreditch Arts Club to a special guided tour of the Post-War to Present artworks, and the New Contemporary exhibition, as part of their summer programme.

This June to August, Christie’s London Summer Season brings together an exciting programme of auctions, exhibitions and activities celebrating the dynamism and creativity London inspires. Their June auction series of Post-War to Present is the premier platform for today’s leading artistic voices and celebrated figures of the post-war period. This season’s highlights include a mysterious portrait by Lynette Yiadom-Boakye and a sumptuous, rare work by Victor Man. Alongside this is the unmissable exhibition marking 75 Years of New Contemporaries. Founded in 1949 by artists and for artists, the non-profit organisation New Contemporaries is committed to fostering an environment where emerging and early career artists are empowered to shape their own futures. In celebration of its 75th anniversary, New Contemporaries partners with Christie’s for a commemorative selling exhibition, with artist alumni, including Hurvin Andreson, Sarah Ball and Michael Craig-Martin, donating works in support of the charity’s mission. Works included in this exhibition will be available for immediate purchase with Christie’s Private Sales.
