Friday 2nd August, 7 – 10pm: Bracia and Friends – Christina Soteriou
“We're trying something new. Last year Bracia events were all multicourse pop-ups. We've cooked our food and tried to tell our story across a few dishes. But there are limits to that model – they're expensive to produce and that means our ticket prices are high. And everything in London is already too expensive. So, we want to do something different.
One dish. Cooked with a friend. We want it to feel like you've come to our house, and this is the thing we wanted to cook for you. You can have seconds; you shouldn't leave hungry.
Christina Soteriou is a restaurant trained chef and recipe writer who creates plant based recipes for foodies. Abundant and joyful, inspired by her Greek Cypriot upbringing and with the bold flavours of the Mediterranean and neighbouring Middle East very much at the forefront. You may know her from her vegan recipes shared over at Mob Kitchen.
We'll be serving from 7-11pm (kitchen closes 10pm, but stay for a drink at the bar).”
BRACIA is a London-based pop-up by chefs Karol Adamiak and Barclay Bram that creates imaginative events with a focus on food. They collaborate with artists of different disciplines — be it graphic designers, photographers, set designers, or florists — creating comprehensive gastronomic experiences. BRACIA translates to ‘brothers’ in Polish. Karol and Barclay connected through their Polish heritage and a shared interest in exploring Polish culture and cuisine. Yet, now they develop ideas at the intersection of their respective journeys as immigrants and second-generation diaspora, drawing inspirations from across different cultures and art forms.
