Friday 15th December, 7 – 9pm: After the Rose… Supper Club with BRACIA
BRACIA is a London-based pop-up by chefs Karol Adamiak and Barclay Bram that creates imaginative events with a focus on food. They collaborate with artists of different disciplines — be it graphic designers, photographers, set designers, or florists — creating comprehensive gastronomic experiences.
BRACIA translates to ‘brothers’ in Polish. Karol and Barclay connected through their Polish heritage and a shared interest in exploring Polish culture and cuisine. Yet, now they develop ideas at the intersection of their respective journeys as immigrants and second-generation diaspora, drawing inspirations from across different cultures and art forms.
After the Rose... dinner is titled after the French proverb après la rose, les épines, meaning ‘after the rose, come the thorns’. Inspired by Goethe’s ‘Theory of Colours’ and Kant’s ‘Theory of Taste’, the event will explore the impact of colour on the diners’ experience. A theme for this event is the colour red. Red is thought to initiate emotions of passion, love, or desire but also of aggression or anger.
BRACIA invite guests to delve into the red world and investigate what comes after the rose... Participants will be served a four-course menu accompanied by suggestive interactions, surroundings, and sounds. Attendees are asked to follow a dress code inspired by the event’s title.
NOTE: The menu cannot be modified to cater to dietary requirements, however it is entirely plant based.
