Friday 22nd March, 3 – 6pm: Music and Mixology Workshop presented by AAIS

Music is not merely a form of performance; it serves as a universal language that resonates with our souls. Similarly, mixology, an art form that unites people, can be likened to a captivating performance. In the context of a formal performance exhibition, how can the fusion of music and mixology enhance the overall experience?

Join us for an immersive Music and Mixology Workshop led by Marsh, an architect passionate about music and mixology, and Mista Pierre, a renowned musician and DJ. Together, we will explore how the amalgamation of sound design and mixology can create compelling narratives in performance.

No musical background is required to participate in this interdisciplinary exploration. Marsh will share his journey of discovery, demonstrating how he integrates sound design and mixology into our spatial performances using software and techniques to enrich our storytelling. Pierre will provide unique insights into spatial performance design, deepening our understanding of the symbiotic relationship between music and space.

Mohan Chen, or Marsh, began as an interior design student in Taiwan, a transformative experience that led to his new identity as Marsh. Marsh is passionate about music, mixology, and photography, and AAIS has given him the perfect platform to pursue these interests. At the event, Marsh will showcase his multifaceted ambition as a musician, mixologist, and filmmaker, each aspect reflecting his unique creativity and skills.

Pierre Nedd, known as Mista Pierre, Mista Pierre is a DJ and Producer from London, UK, for major clubs, multiple residencies and special events worldwide. His BSc Honours in Computer Science & Media from University of Hertfordshire contributed significantly to the development of his sound design. A popular club presence known for seamlessly moving between multiple genres during sets, he also creates distinctive soundscapes, remixes and edits, while maintaining positive, uplifting vibes.
